As a therapist, I offer hope and healing for children and families. Through individual and family therapy, I can help you understand why your children may be acting out in school or at home, and help you as a parent learn to be the first and best teacher of your children. I have worked with many children, families and adults who have suffered from physical, verbal or emotional abuse. I have training and experience in helping people move from surviving their past to thriving in their present. The teen years are sometimes difficult for families. I provide real-life, practical tools for managing those challenges for parents.
My goal for your family is to restore peace and positive communication. For pre-teens, teens, and adults, I offer cognitive behavior therapy or CBT. CBT can help identify negative or destructive thoughts and feelings that may be obstacles to healthy functioning.
Research on CBT demonstrates that this is the most effective therapy for children seeking positive change in their lives. Insight-oriented therapy can be an option for those seeking to make a major change in their life, or wanting to explore a new direction.
I offer:
