Stan Harlan, MDiv, MEd,
LPC, LMFT
Stan Harlan is a Licensed Professional
Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who with other
clinicians joined together in 1991 to form a group of independent mental
health practitioners in San Marcos, Texas. He is a general practitioner,
seeing individuals, families and couples in psychotherapy. Stan has a
counseling degree from Southwest Texas State (Texas State University), holds
two state licenses, and is a Clinical Member of the American Association for
Marriage and Family Therapy. Mr. Harlan has been in private practice in San
Marcos, Texas for fifteen years, and prior to that trained as a pastoral
counselor, including Clinical Pastoral Education. He has conducted workshops
on Grief, Death and Dying, and Team Building in the Workplace. Using a
conversational style, he focuses on creating an environment for hopeful
progress and believes in the power of the human spirit to solve problems.
